On July 25, the Embassy of Panama held a Tourism Seminar for the members of Second Life Association.
This Association is composed of retired member from prestigious Japanese companies, who are interested in travelling to different countries.
During his welcome remarks, the Ambassador of Panama, H.E. Ritter Diaz, expressed his gratitude to members of the Association for their interest in Panama.
On the other hand, Mrs. Ayana Hatada Diaz, spouse of the Ambassador, delivered a detail presentation of tourist attraction of Panama, such as the Canal, historical and natural world heritages, different indigenous groups, among others.
The presentation also included a promotion video with the information about World Youth Day, which will be held from January 22 to 27, 2019, as well as the celebration of 500 years of the foundation of Panama city on August 15, 2019.
All participants had the opportunity to enjoy Panamanian gastronomy, such as shrimp ceviche, chorizo with green banana fries, chicken stew, corn rice, mamallena as desert, and Panamanian specialty coffee.
At the same time, different kind of Panamanian handcrafts were exhibited, which included Molas, beads accessories, and replicas of pre-Columbus artifacts.
The event was concluded with greetings of appreciation from Mr. Yukio Mizukoshi, Director General of the Association, where he mentioned that this touristic seminar will help the members to consider Panama as a travel destination in near future.
At the end, participants received tourism pamphlets, including the general information such as: historical and natural heritage, indigenous groups, shopping and cruising information of Panama.
