Flag

The Panamanian flag was designed by Ms. Maria Ossa de Amador, wife of Panama’s first President, Mr. Manuel Amador Guerrero.

The Panamanian flag is a rectangle divided into four squares: Top left square: White background with blue star. Top right square: Red color. Left down square: Blue color. Right down square: White background with red star. Each color is fraught with meaning: white stands for the long-expected peace through the peaceful union of the historical parties; Red represents the Liberal party and Blue represents the Conservative party.
