On November 22, 2017, S.E. Ritter Díaz, the Ambassador of Panama to Japan, visited Shibaura Elementary School to give a lecture about geography, history, culture and gastronomy of Panama.
Ambassador was received by Prof. Akiko Mikami, Deputy Director of Shibaura Elementary School, who expressed her appreciation to Ambassador Diaz for taking time to visit the school and make a presentation about Panama to 160 students of 4th grade.
Students also had an opportunity to try on the traditional dresses of Panama such as, the Montuno Ocueño and Ngobe-Buglé’s custom, which were provided by the Embassy.
After the presentation, Ambassador Diaz answered some questions from students, including the way Panamanians perceive Japanese society, as well as other topics of interest.
School visits is part of the educational program of the Embassy of Panama in Japan with the purpose of broadening the knowledge about our country among Japanese students.
