On November 24, 2017, the Embaassy of Panama carried out a Panama Tourism Seminar with 15 travel agencies in Japan, in the residence of Ambassador of Panama.
The event was organized with the cooperation of the international tour operator MIKI TOURIST, which has more than 60 branches in Asia, Europe, North and South American region.
At the beginning of the event, H.E. Ritter N. Díaz, Ambassador of Panama to Japan, during his opening remarks, conveyed his gratitude to MIKI TOUIRST for their interests in promoting Panama as a travel destination.
On the other hand, Mrs. Ayana Hatada, Wife of Ambassador, delivered a presentation about Panama, including the country’s general information, historic and natural world heritages, indigenous tribes and biodiversity of Panama.
In addition, Mrs. Hatada also explained about the World Youth Day, which will be held in Panama in January, 2019.
MIKI TOURIST also carried out a presentation, introducing different tour packages to Japanese tourists who have interest to travel in Panama.
After the presentations, participants from the travel agencies had an opportunity to taste Panamanian gastronomy, such as ceviche, avocado and tomato salad, fried green banana and sausage stew, chicken stew, corn rice, fish and mushroom stew and Panamanian bread pudding as well as Geisha coffee.
This seminar had the purpose to disseminate Panama tourism information to the representatives from various travel agencies. After the event, participants expressed their gratitude for the hospitality of the Embassy of Panama.
