Panama Beef Receives Good Grade from Japanese Government

The Food Safety Commission of the Cabinet Office of Japan issued a Food Safety Risk Assessment of Panamanian Beef and Beef Offal Imported to Japan, declaring that Panama beef has a negligible risk of contracting Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE-Mad Cow Disease).

The result of the assessment places the safety of Panama beef in a good position to continue exports to Japan.

It is important to point out the continued efforts of the health and agricultural authorities of Panama to closely monitor the safety of all food produced in the territory of the Republic of Panama.
