On April 9th, 2017, the Embassy of Panama in Japan participated in the event called Tabi Summit (Travel Summit), with the purpose of promoting the tourism in Panama to Japanese people.
The event was organized by the company Key Noters Inc., who promotes the international exchange, and took place in the office of one of the main travel agencies, H.I.S. In the event, the Embassies of Bulgaria and Cote d´Ivoire in Japan participated as well and more than 50 people visited to obtain the knowledge about these three countries.
During the event, H.E. Ritter N. Díaz, Ambassador of Panama to Japan, gave a presentation about Panama, which covers the general datas, tourism, culture and the Panama Canal Expansion.
The participants had an opportunity to enjoy the Panamanian handicrafts like Molas and Chungas, and also to taste out gastronomy such as empanadas, mamallena and egg nog ron punch, offered by the Embassy of Panama in Japan.
The event finished with a networking session, where the participants could exchange opinions with the staffs of our Embassy in order to obtain more information about Panama.
