Located 300m from the Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal and surrounded by a rainforest reserve, in Clayton, former Headquarters of the US Southern Command. Inspired in the concept of Silicon Valley and the Tsukuba Science City, the City of Knowledge is an international campus for education, research, and innovation, with an area of 120 hectares. It has been developed to promote synergy between private enterprise, universities, scientific research centers, and international NGOs. It was created in 1995 and is managed by a private, non-profit Foundation.
